What we believe

AKI is passionate about the work we do and the communities that we work with.

Our focus is on developing customized solutions for our partner communities that lead to the creation of new sustainable business units. These business units are only considered if they meet AKI’s overriding principles – that they enable AKI to build opportunities, communities, enterprises and entrepreneurs.

We believe that we can make a difference in each indigenous community, and to that end, we are focused on:

• Creating employment opportunities in each community

• Developing capacity in the communities we work

• Leaving legacies in the communities in which they work

To deliver on our promises to each partner community, we are committed to ensuring that traditional indigenous teachings are incorporated into all of our operating principles.
